Reed Claims Qatar Masters as Hill Finishes Runner-Up

Patrick Reed continued his strong start to the 2026 season with a two-shot victory at the Qatar Masters in Doha.
Reed closed the tournament at 16 under par, holding off a determined final-round challenge from Scotland’s Calum Hill, who finished second on 14 under after an impressive Sunday charge.

The victory marks Reed’s second win in three weeks on the DP World Tour, following his success at the Dubai Desert Classic. He has now posted two wins and a runner-up finish in his last three starts.

Hill produced one of the rounds of the day, firing a 67, highlighted by a chip-in eagle and four consecutive birdies on the back nine. Despite an early double bogey, he showed real resilience and gave himself birdie chances throughout the closing holes.
Speaking after his round, Hill said he had to “dig in” after a difficult front nine but was pleased with how he responded and the quality of golf he played coming home.

It was Hill’s second consecutive runner-up finish, following his near miss in a play-off at the Bahrain Championship, and another strong sign of form as the DP World Tour season gathers momentum.

A great result for Scottish golf and a reminder of the fine margins at the highest level of the game.
