In a thrilling conclusion to the BMW Championship at Castle Pines Golf Club, Keegan Bradley, the newly appointed U.S. Ryder Cup captain, pulled off a surprising victory, securing his seventh career PGA Tour title. Bradley, who only just made the cut for the 50-man field as the final qualifier, delivered a steady performance with an even-par 72 in the final round, finishing 12 under par. This narrow win, just one stroke ahead of Ludvig Åberg, Sam Burns, and Adam Scott, propels him into the upcoming Tour Championship in fourth place.

Bradley’s win came down to a critical moment on the 537-yard, par-four 10th hole. A solid par here broke a tie with Adam Scott, who faltered with a three-putt bogey on the course’s most challenging hole, allowing Bradley to maintain a lead he would never relinquish.

As the FedExCup Playoffs head into the final stage, Scottie Scheffler, the world No. 1, will start the Tour Championship as the top seed, despite a less-than-stellar finish tied for 33rd at the BMW. Xander Schauffele, after tying for fifth place, will begin in second place, while Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama, despite withdrawing from the BMW due to a back injury, holds the third seed.

Notable performances this week include Ludvig Åberg, who now sits fifth heading into the Tour Championship, and Sam Burns, whose impressive seven-under 65 in the final round secures him ninth place. Rory McIlroy will start in sixth position after finishing tied for 11th.

Only the top 30 players advance to the Tour Championship at East Lake, competing for a massive $25 million prize. England's Tommy Fleetwood made a significant leap from 31st to 22nd place in the standings after a strong tied-fifth finish. Meanwhile, two-time major winner Justin Thomas managed to clinch the final spot in the field, despite a challenging week. Unfortunately, 2023 Open champion Brian Harman narrowly missed out, finishing 31st.

As the PGA Tour season reaches its climax, all eyes are on the top contenders at East Lake. Catch all the action live on Sky Sports.
