Captain’s Outing at Lanark Golf Club

Bonnyton Golf Club Captain, Brian Caplan, was delighted to report that his Captain’s Outing at Lanark Golf Club on Wednesday 27th May proved to be a great success.

The group enjoyed a fantastic day of golf in mild weather and favourable playing conditions. Lanark Golf Club was in excellent condition and proved to be a very popular venue with everyone who attended.

The format for the day was a Texas Scramble, with some excellent golf played throughout.

1st Place
Congratulations to the winning team of Herbie Hepner, Peter Blair, Paul Van de Made and Paul Simons, who received golf polo shirts and Pro V1s as their prize.

2nd Place
The team of Larry Sellyn, Bernard Solomons, Richard Green and Stephen Black finished in second place and won Bonnyton driver covers.

3rd Place
Third place went to Howard Lockhart, Richard Smith, Graham Smith and David Smith, who each received Titleist hats.

Individual Prize Winners

Nearest the pin prizes went to Peter Blair, Greg Benson and Kevin Ockrim, while the longest drive prize was won by Marcus Wynne.

Brian would like to extend his sincere thanks to Andy, the Club Manager at Lanark Golf Club, for his excellent communication and tremendous help in organising the day.

A final and very special thank you goes to all the players for their generous donations towards Brian’s chosen charity, the Doing It for Daniel Foundation. Thanks to everyone’s support, more than £1,100 was raised on the day.

A fantastic outing, a great course, and an excellent contribution to a very worthy cause.
